Juan Pablo Sorin has left Hamburg after the final year of his contract was paid up.
The Argentine, who can play at left-back or on the left of midfield, joined Hamburg from Villarreal in 2006.
However, he struggled with injuries during his time in Germany and was restricted to just 24 appearances in the Bundesliga.
He is now on the look-out for a new club and the 32-year-old says he has received offers following his exit from Hamburg.
"I am going to prepare myself to play again and have fun on the pitch," Sorin told Hamburg's official website.
"I came to HSV because they are a great club, with whom I wanted to win a title. Now the situation is different, a different stage in my life is about to start.
"Fortunately, I have several offers, but I didn't want to speak to anyone before my situation here was resolved out of respect for HSV and the other clubs."
