Electra 91另一個主要目的,就係provide Intercity 225嘅loco,咁但係車快無用,因為依家High Speed Train已經係勉強睇到lineside signal postjko126 :In the event of an overspeed on approach to a signal at danger or a SPAD, TPWS should stop the train before the conflict point (e.g junction, crossing...etc).
Although TPWS is a kind of speed-check device like "速度照査" in Japan in conjunction with their ATS (Automatic Train Stop)system, they can't prevent derailment cause by overspeed when trains are switching lines.
In case a semi fast train is going to a station platform at slow line from fast line, the driver can still approach the point with excessive speed and then SPAD.
This semi fast service will first SPAD then derail and the other train would crash on it shortly after that.
Futhermore, depends on the setup, TPWS could not provide full length overlap in Britain. However it can in Australia.
Freight trains would not able to stop in time even though TPWS has tripped the train. Most of SPAD cases on mainline, the train involved would have to slip into overlap block. It seems that the TPWS-S/N system installed for railways of Chennai and Delhi is actually a ETCS level 1 solution with in cab signaling like TBL2 on KCR East Rail(Now:East Rail Line)

Referring to the document, the driver need not to observe lineside signals and he will eventually get his LOMA and taret speed via cab display with signal posts retained for non-comm trains. That what exactly we're doing on East Rail Line.
However the trains/trackside equipment are not communicating though GSM-R and LOMA will only be updated via every single point so it could not fulfill the requirement of ETCS2 then it classified itself as ETCS1 instead
所以當時架class 91諗住喺ECML行140 mph,仲要用閃下閃下嘅綠燈去表示架車可以行140 mph
結果就當然係無人睇到支燈係咩aspect,仲要將架車落返去125 mph,就好似東鐵啲千九咁 : 得物無所用,英雄無用武之地
