Cummins ISLe-340 (same as in Hong Kong, however it's EPA2010 local US emission standards, equivalent to EU Euro IV level)
Allison B500-R automatic gearbox with 5 forward gears
3x ZF axles

Can you guys type Chinese so another people can join ion this conversation?(Of course if you can...)

I knew that the Chinese products aren't safety.
What do you guys thinks?

They are good being new buses, but those built for Sydney, qualities are bad..(Probably because they got it cheap)

Well, this is the overseas board, with members who cannot comprehend Chinese. It is probably better to use English.

Anyway, I have never liked Ankai's exterior design. Setra coaches are already ugly enough. Ankai's slight Setra touch is even worse.
I wonder how Americans would feel when they see/ride these though. I did not pay attention to that during my last trip to SF.

One thing to be worried about is that these coaches are not based on foreign platforms. Youngman buses are okay considering they contain Neoplan technology.
But a Chinese designed and built bus does not attract confidence.

I drive these Ankai almost everyday, so I know they are crap

AUD$1m for 4 Ankai when Enviro500 or Bustech Cdi cost AUD$650k
so you can think of the price and why the quality is bad

Pretty sure the US has decent safety assessments before putting these imported buses into service, thus they've got fully American power trains, which I won't worry too much about.
