喺Peterborough火車站等到嘅第一部接駁巴士,就係呢部前Stratford Blue嘅30呎Routemaster RML2565。雖然換咗Scania引擎,但係波箱仍然係AEC Monocontrol半自動:

去到Whittlesey之後,落車行幾步,就見到喺「行人專用區」入面泊住一排各個年代嘅參展巴士:

Park Royal車身AEC Bridgemaster,可以算係矮身版嘅Routemaster,因為佢都係用整體式結構+前後副架嘅設計:

同Routemaster一樣,Bridgemaster頭轆都係用double wishbone螺旋彈簧獨立懸掛:

1932年出廠嘅丹尼士Lancet I,車身由Short Brothers(其實係飛機生產商嚟)建造,用丹尼士自家嘅四氣缸30匹汽油引擎,真係唔知原來丹尼士以前有造過引擎:

呢部係Foden PVRF6,1951年出廠,有人話佢係英國現存最舊嘅戰後(倫敦喺戰前已經有批後置引擎嘅利蘭REC)後置引擎巴士。Foden嘅引擎算係出名,特別在佢哋擅長嘅係二衝程柴油引擎。原本此行其中一個目的係搭呢部Foden,可惜佢只係行咗兩轉,而且都係行最多人搭嘅341線(因為Ramsey有古典車展),排晒長龍,只得作罷:

再行前少少,又有幾部巴士畀人任影。最近鏡頭嘅利蘭National Mk1,被改裝成一間餐廳,車尾孭住個石油氣罐:

原屬Cambus(後來改稱Viscount Buses)嘅Northern Counties Palatine車身利蘭奧林,落晒客之後入返嚟「行人專用區」準備泊位:

正當我喺度聽緊部蘭褪車嘅重低音迫力聲,突然傳嚟砰一聲,原來部蘭撞咗落呢部富豪B10B度,牌箱玻璃碎到成地都係:

再睇睇部豪,車身係亞歷山大Strider,同Dash係同期,線條亦好相似:

清理完現場之後,工作人員就搭呢部Plaxton Beaver車身平治711D離開,引擎聲出奇地嘈:

睇到咁上下,行返出去巴士站搵車搭,稍後開出嘅係呢部東蘭開夏Cityzen車身Scania N113。個人覺得,喺佢幾十年造車身嘅歷史入面,只得呢隻Cityzen係有特色得嚟而又靚嘅,未免失敗咗啲:

車尾有啲似Optare Spectra,尤其係上層,不過整體靚過Spectra:

由Whittlesey搭部N113行701線來回Peterborough,司機多數時間都揸得好悠閒,據聞係因為今年嘅時間表比舊年預得鬆好多,作為乘客就覺得好冇癮。把聲同印象中嘅九巴AS好唔同,死氣聲同迫力聲都好響:
又一部N113,不過係單層版,車身同之前部富豪B10B一樣係亞歷山大Strider:

跟住搭嘅係呢部亞特蘭大AN68,1976年出廠,原本係裝ECW車身(Bristol VRT嗰款),但投入服務冇耐就燒咗,於是由Willowbrook重建車身。呢個車身望落更似60年代產物,車頂嗰三條骨認真礙眼:

部車較早前有啲問題,要揭開引擎蓋維修:

11.1公升嘅O.680引擎,同埋四前速嘅Pneumocyclic半自動波箱。「LEYLAND」字樣嘅風泵右邊,係CAV嘅DPA型旋轉式燃油噴注系統,比傳統嘅直列式細件好多;喺佢上面向右伸出嘅兩枝桿,由下至上分別係油門同死火拉桿:

恐怕冇邊幾款巴士嘅引擎係可以咁容易、咁完整噉展現喺人眼前:

亞特蘭大嘅下層車廂,走廊上面凸出嘅,係為咗容納尾軸大大嚿差速器而設嘅空位:

個司機都唔識揸半自動波嘅,鬆晒油門先嚟入空波,然後波箱brake band未曾鬆晒,引擎轉數亦根本未跌得夠低,就已經入咗下一個波,咪會又舂又chok囉

都未止,拖波嗰吓先慘,唔補油都算,但佢喺比較高嘅車速直接推低一個波,結果引擎即刻扯上高轉,又大力舂一吓,個波箱真係慘

不過呢部亞特蘭大本身有樣嘢好,就係懸掛比正常軟(可能同吸震筒調校有關),偏向彈同搖,但一般葉片懸掛車行得快時嘅細震動就明顯少咗:
一部比較後期嘅亞特蘭大,1982年出廠,車身明顯係類似DD1嘅東蘭開夏出品:

長棍版五前速半自動波子機,留意一波同後波都有保險掣:

因為呢個五前速係喺一般四前速版本上面,加一個大齒比嘅一波,所以一般嚟講都會係用二波起步。呢個司機嘅揸法就正常得多,引擎聲亦幾好聽(如果淨係講引擎聲,我比較鍾意亞特蘭大同Bristol VRT,不過計埋波箱聲就一定係珍寶最正),可惜車身雜音較多,懸掛亦比較硬:
驟眼望落去,或者你會認為佢係一部「七隻窗、11米、R型車身」嘅富豪奧林?睇一睇個鬼面罩,會發現佢其實係東蘭開夏E型,一隻抄亞歷山大R型嘅車身。至於佢嘅七隻窗,其實係將10.3米版R型嘅六隻半窗長度平均分佈,避免車身中間多咗隻窗仔出嚟。雖然望落會順眼啲,但因為唔同車身長度會用唔同嘅車窗同旁板,零件儲存方面或者會煩啲:

車尾就冇咁呃得人,一見到隻巨型上層尾窗就知佢係翻版:

另一部東蘭開夏E型車身10.3米豪,今次就同R型一樣係六隻半窗,只不過隻窗仔放喺車尾而唔係車身中段,好似亞歷山大LF vs Metsec LF噉:

不過呢隻車窗佈局就令窗柱對唔齊底盤側架:

呢部蘭嘅Palatine車身係矮身版,加上內籠偏深色,難免有啲壓迫感:

動力配搭係吉拿6LXB + ZF Ecomat 4HP500,表現唔錯,波箱聲又夠響,比之前喺英國搭過嘅幾部吉蘭都爽好多。11:15去到Turves總站之後褪車調頭,又有嗰把標誌性嘅重低音迫力聲:
同部標準高度嘅NC蘭(一樣係早期型)拍埋比較,明顯睇得出左邊嗰部塊擋風玻璃矮咗一截:

之前冇留意過,原來新款Supreme車身嘅頭燈組入面,指揮燈同邊燈都係我哋好熟悉嘅Lucas L876:

用舊款Supreme車身嘅利蘭Leopard,指揮燈同邊燈一樣係Lucas L876。加咗個車頂牌箱(叫做Bristol dome),再用返舊款嘅圓角長方形鬼面罩,個外形就同都普Dominant(九巴豪華亞比安)如出一轍:

巴士版利蘭Leopard,車身係Marshall出品,比較特別嘅係車廂入面除咗頭三排凳之外,都係3+2佈置:

都可以算係「中置引擎」嘅利蘭,由貨車底盤改裝,用蒸氣驅動,條曲軸喺車外望去車底就已經見到。車上面要擺鍋爐燒煤煲水,啲煙吹到四圍都有一大陣味:

部蒸氣巴士行得唔快,但亦唔算太笨拙。另外留意到一樣嘢,就係佢嘅蒸氣機直接連落去直濕,褪車時應該只需要郁一郁個氣閥:

利蘭喺80年代推出嘅Tiger,係一款中置引擎大型單層巴士底盤,同B10M同級,但係個名爭少少嘅Royal Tiger就係後置引擎。呢部Tiger喺1989年出廠,仍然係用利蘭自己嘅TL11H引擎(原本以為畀富豪收購咗之後就已經停產),車身就係Plaxton Paramount III 3200:

部Scania把聲一啲都唔好聽,司機又早轉波。碌車碌到去Peterborough火車站,先發現原來後面跟住部NC車身康偈蘭(再後面重有部Bristol RE),早知就唔搭部Scania(個人唔太鍾意Scania,偏偏總共搭咗三部用Scania引擎嘅車)
