入到去第一部搭嘅就係呢部珍寶,之前已經搭過唔少次,亦拍過好幾次片,所以今次就專心享受佢把聲:

早期版Bristol VRT Series 2,車身仍然係類似Series 1嘅平頭版:

睇埋車尾都係唔識分Series 1同早期Series 2:

錶板、軚柱同踏板位係一件過玻璃纖維,再加埋左邊嘅警告燈都比珍寶同亞特蘭大先進,而最現代嘅莫過於大大枝風手掣:

不過ECW車身嘅感覺就比同期嘅Park Royal出品古老而且簡陋,例如窗柱凸晒出嚟、樓梯旁板三尖八角冇啲弧度、尾轆側位直接橫跨個半圓形輪拱...

佢把嗚嗚聲好似比其他VRT細聲咗啲,而四波低轉時聽落亦唔太順。另外,我之前一直認為喺三款第一代後置引擎雙層巴士之中,珍寶嘅避震最扽,而VRT最舒服,但原來我一向畀路況誤導咗...原來珍寶載得多人都可以OK好坐,VRT嘅懸掛亦唔係真係好咁多:

Midland Red最後一款自製嘅巴士 - BMMO S23,厲害在唔只係用自家引擎同埋橡膠避震,頭轆甚至有獨立懸掛同碟剎:

跟住搭呢部都城Mk2A,同樣行47號線去Yardley Wood同Alcester Lanes End,不過表現實在麻麻,拍片都冇意思:

Mk2A係MCW廠方因應Mk2車尾結構問題而喺88年中推出嘅最終改良型,外觀上最明顯嘅分別係下層尾窗縮返去類似Mk1嘅大細,同時車尾兩邊冇咗條凸骨:

Westinghouse嘅風壓警告器,唔夠風壓就會著燈同跌塊STOP牌落嚟。呢件嘢喺倫敦係標準配備,甚至直頭取代咗風錶(例如DMS):

喺夠鐘開車之前,唔知部車出咗咩問題,揭開咗引擎蓋,入埋水箱水之後,就嘗試撻匙同扯轉數:
熄返引擎之後,就可以近距離觀賞吓都城嘅引擎室:

6LXB引擎油泵上面嘅鐵牌,說明呢副引擎經過徹底翻修,而最大馬力係180bhp@1850rpm:

可以見到風控油門、波箱油門感應器同引擎accelerator係點樣連接:

好少可會見到巴士引擎嘅flywheel housing唔係裝住個液壓飛輪,亦唔係直接駁住波箱,而係露咗個torsional damper出嚟:

個80度angle drive除咗連接引擎同波箱,同時亦負責驅動發電機同引擎機油冷卻器風扇:

呢個角度見到開咗引擎蓋之後要用嘅撻匙/熄匙掣,亦可以見到連住angle drive嗰條吊桿嘅上半截:

左邊嘅引擎蓋亦開咗,可以望到另一嚿避震膠(喺圍住最底嗰個皮帶滑輪個托架嘅頂,個托架負責由嚿膠度伸落來吊住部引擎):

張凳好坐、避震舒服不特止,波箱聲更令人陶醉(尤其係三波,個人覺得四波反而冇咁好聽),只可惜一路上前面都有車頂住,總係有啲唔夠爽:
緊接住搭嘅呢部Ailsa大有來頭,唔單只係WMPTE喺1974年引入嘅頭三部Ailsa中嘅第一部,而且係現存最舊嘅Ailsa(佢係第二部出廠,第一部就係原型車THS273M,即係城巴V1)。車主係4738 Group(https://www.facebook.com/4738Group/),佢哋同時亦保留並修復咗另外幾部「一哥」,包括WMPTE第一部量產版Ailsa(JOV738P)、全球唯一矮身Ailsa(RTO1R/TRR814R)同埋倫敦第一部Ailsa(A101SUU),甚至曾經救返兩部都城樣辦車(WMPTE 6832同7007):

今次揸車嘅唔係車主,而係揸VRT嗰個司機,亦即係上次我話轉波轉得最好、拖波會補油嗰位,所以個感覺同舊年搭JOV738P(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpf-04D0_Q8)幾唔同。把聲聽落係JOV738P更勝一籌,不過呢部嘅表現都唔錯。此外,亦再一次肯定Ailsa嘅避震喺葉片懸掛中絕對係冇得彈,夠軟又夠穩:
返到去博物館時已經六點半,影完呢張相之後(後車係珍寶KOX780F)就要趕尾班750出返伯明翰:
