繼2016年尾告別非低地台巴士嘅活動之後,Nu-Venture喺2017年尾繼續舉辦running day,以紀念佢哋喺Medway服務嘅廿週年。活動場地位於Rochester火車站旁邊一個停車場,當日共有42部車出席,其中有22部有載到客行過幾條特別線。

開場前半個鐘入到去,只有寥寥幾部車到咗,首先有呢部Plaxton Verde車身富豪B10B:

富豪用嚟取代艾莎B55嘅車款 — 雙層版B10M,可以叫Citybus、B10MD或D10M(唔肯定D10M算唔算正式叫法)。車身係Northern Counties喺80年代嘅標準,本身係源自SELNEC/Greater Manchester PTE嘅設計。部車曾經畀Arriva改成校巴,4月時先至髹返做原本嘅Derby City Transport色:

同樣係AEC Regal IV,不過係倫敦運輸局嘅標準版,Metro-Cammell車身嘅RF。印象中RF嘅司機位擋風玻璃通常都係一截斜再加一截直,但呢部RF28係一塊過弧形玻璃:

1969年出廠嘅Park Royal車身珍寶,波棍用利蘭嘅風控式而唔係波子機。當日第一部搭嘅就係佢,頹到不得了,冇聲冇氣冇力...

喺90年代經East Lancs重建嘅利蘭National,叫做National Greenway。重建時保留原本嘅車身骨架,所以車頂形狀仍然好National,機械方面就改用吉拿6HLXB引擎:

跟住就係我當日最主要嘅目標 — 尾二出廠嘅Dominator(可惜最後一部已經劏咗)。部車係1996年4月交付London Country嘅最後四部Dominator之一(唔計龍鷹),而再對上一批Dominator已經要數到1993年3月畀Mayne嗰三部,足足有成三年空白,可見有幾咁唔賣得。呢七部Dominator特別在於佢哋係矮身版底盤,中段大陣冇升高(如果冇理解錯,Dominator由1986年改用angle drive同放棄U形尾軸之後就升高咗中段大陣,要做矮車身只能喺下層用沉降式通道:https://www.flickr.com/photos/31032203@N05/16035918780/),似返1986年之前嘅舊版大陣(尾四部Dominator劏車相:https://www.flickr.com/photos/okedoke/7702903522/),不過地台高度都係高過以前用U軸嘅版本(例如雅高嗰批):

車身係仿R型嘅East Lancs E型(用圓角窗就更似),不過側窗唔似得矮版R型會改用矮窗,呢點就順眼過原版RL型:

雖然話底盤係矮身版,但總係有啲勉強(唔知點解後期Dominator個尾牙位咁掗拃,標準高度版都係,同樣用GKN尾軸嘅Metrobus都冇咁大嚿),點都唔及Olympian咁四正齊整:

部車用歐一版LTA10引擎同ZF 4HP500波箱,而唔係Dominator系列常用嘅Voith。行車表現好爽(朝早搭珍寶行同一段路得個悶字),尤其係片頭喺Lodge Hill開出之後嗰段A road。個波箱tune有啲特別,一波直結好短,成日lock-up咗唔夠一秒就轉二波,不過出奇嘅係就算喺一波直結時收油都冇Olympian咁chok(呢段片入面冇,不過去程時有試過)。而懸掛就完美演譯何謂「棉花糖」(之前喺英國坐過兩部後期Dominator都冇咁正),比Metropolitan嗰隻軟綿綿要firm少少,不過一樣係軟而彈,行市區路好舒服,行高速就左右浪:

引擎散熱水箱擺喺右尾轆前面,唔似AS左右各有一個,尾跨亦冇咁長(唔通AS係用單層版嘅底盤尾段?):

90年代中嘅Cityzen同Pyoneer車身終於放棄咗由70年代尾開始用嘅巨型圓角上層尾窗,個人覺得Cityzen係East Lancs之中難得一見嘅靚車身:

MCW同Park Royal車身DMS之間嘅分別,除咗車頂銻線、兩邊去水位、下層太平門之外,喺車尾睇就更清楚,上層尾窗細而高,牌箱兩邊銻線亦分得更開。之前喺另一個event同DM999嘅車主傾過一陣,佢話佢一開始揀部Park Royal車身嘅DMS嚟修復就係因為MCW版嘅車尾太醜樣...
