ELC (East Lancashire Coachbuilders) 呢間公司, 或者有尐香港巴士迷會比較陌生,
皆因香港曾經出現過配 ELC 車身嘅巴士, 為數甚少,
或者較多為人知嘅, 只有中巴八大禽獸之一嘅長陣版 Dennis Dominator DD1,
同埋以前雅高巴士嘅一架二手短陣版 Dennis Dominator,
九巴以前引入嘅二手 30 呎 AEC Regent V 型巴士, 亦有部份係配 ELC 車身嘅,
記得多年前 EFE 曾經公佈會推出 ELC 嘅 Olumpus 雙層巴士模型,
並且喺多個公開場合 包括一年一度嘅 Showbus 展示出 1/24 嘅 Olympus 初模,
正當大家期待佢嘅推出之際, 但係一等就等左多年, 都係只聞樓梯響,
最近在下心血來潮, 去左 EFE 嘅 FB page 問下有關呢架模型,
同埋同樣喺多年前公佈會推出嘅 1/24 AEC RF, 結果得到以下嘅回應:

Hello (我), We certainly hope to produce new castngs in the future. With regards to the Olympus, sadly due to the vehicles not being bought by many fleets, we realised it was not realistic to continue to take this casting into production as there were not enough fleet variations for the casting. With regards to the 1:24 scale RF, we were aware that due to the current economic climate, manufacturing of this model was not going financially viable to produce due to restricted budgets.

似乎呢架 Olympus 同 1/24 AEC RF 都係推出無望啦,
睇番依家 EFE 唔只係咁 Loop N年前出過嘅車款,
仲連拉花都 Loop 埋, 只係車牌同路線唔同罷了 (好似九巴尐舊直威巴咁)
攪到我都已經冇入 EFE 尐車好耐, 唔計舊車翻兜,
對上一架新入嘅 EFE 車, 已經係 2012 年出嘅 Ribble 平頭 Bristol VRT 啦...

講到 ELC, 就令我諗起我手上呢架 Blackburn Trident,
心癮起拎出嚟劣一劣~~
