無意中見到已收藏既木質自動扶手電梯組件,原來呢款扶手電梯背後有唔光彩既歷史...
話說1987年11月18日係King's Cross St. Pancras 地鐵站發生火警,火勢好快由扶手電梯蔓延到了售票大堂,乘客因濃煙被困在售票大堂入面,濃煙夾雜有毒氣體令到好多人昏迷引致窒息,消防接報係12分鐘後到場灌救,但灌救過程唔順利,事件造成31人死亡,100人受傷
事後調查發現可能係有人將點完煙既火柴掉入電梯,再點燃潤滑油引致火警.事後London Underground就禁止乘客係地鐵站入面吸煙,扶手電梯逐步換成金屬製造,最後使用木質自動扶手電梯既車站-Greenford tube station,最終係2014年拆除木質扶手電梯,其後換成斜行升降機

列車收藏品方面
有維修列車
為咗方面工程車進入淺層隧道,列車外型都要整到半圓形
有1940年投入服務既除冰工程車

呢個係1938年投入電池工程車,係軌道無電力供應下都可以進行維修及牽引工程車

1986年由Metro-Cammell製造既原型車,分別有兩列,有紅色同綠色,而藍色既1986 stock係由BREL製造,三列列車當時行走Jubilee Line,而三款色係試驗色,由乘客決定日後新列車既車身顏色,最後由紅色勝出,成為量產型1992 stock既車身顏色
而圖中綠色既1986 stock係Neasden出軌後就送往transport museum收藏

呢架油緊白色油既列車其實係上一代Waterloo &city line既列車,British rail class 487,英國人俗稱呢款車叫做Drain,由English Electric製造,1940年投入服務,1993年退役
點解呢款車樣就似地鐵但車身油上Network southeast既?原來呢條線當時由City and south London Railway興建,其後合併改為Southern Railway,直至1948年鐵路國有化後成為British Railway一部份,所以呢款車曾經油上British rail 鐵路藍色及Southeast network色彩

呢一邊雖然油咗白色,但另一邊依然有Network Southeast色彩
早前翻油完成後出席活動,感覺喚然一新
再睇番香港鐵路博物館內早前翻前柴頭51,再同Class 437相比,咩叫做hea同認真
