單門ECW蘭嘅一大特點,就係左頭轆上面嘅側位向車尾伸延得比較多,再喺凳底裝暖風機。唔計後來改由利蘭一條龍生產嘅版本,矮身單門ECW蘭多數用由前向後上嘅樓梯,呢部亦唔例外,所以左頭轆呢級去到前面要收窄,以遷就對面樓梯伸出嚟嘅第一級。至於高身版同利蘭矮身版條梯都係由後向前上,佢哋嘅側位就得兩人闊度,前面嘅儲物空間就長咗,兩人側位前面嗰個對正樓梯口,唔肯定係咪關走廊闊度要求事,所以單門版只有由前向後上樓梯版先可以喺左頭轆上面裝三人側位:

因為樓梯係由前向後上,所以成條梯都比較前,Olympian頭軸懸掛右邊氣袋同相應嘅底盤骨架就冇收到喺梯底,變咗要升高一級嚟容納,嗰個位亦只好裝一組倒頭位:

原本以為佢把聲會似坦克蘭或者龍鷹,但唔知係咪死氣喉佈置唔同,聽落總係好陌生,Voith波箱聲亦唔響(由0:25開始聽,0:29好似聽到個波箱retarder運作到停定之後入返一波,所以應該係D854.2),不過總算係試過呢隻少有嘅配搭:

回程去到St Neots,原本只係諗住停一陣休息吓,點知著唔返車,變咗喺嗰度放埋食飯時間。後面部豪就係救兵,帶住嚿電嚟救車,兼且作為萬一部蘭都係撻唔著嘅後備車。可惜錯過咗救車過程,如果唔係就可以睇埋部蘭嘅引擎室:

樓梯裝得前過城巴單門蘭,於是條梯後面同前面部ECW蘭一樣要升高一級,但佢唔裝倒頭位,而係將張凳升高嚟裝。孰優孰劣見仁見智,倒頭位固然唔係人人鍾意,但第一排凳升高一級嚟裝望落又好突兀:

之所以咁心急返廠影相,最主要係因為有條富豪Olympian底盤擺咗喺度,原本身份係Nottingham City Transport嘅P493FRR,睇底盤中段嘅兩格半佈局會認到佢係10.3米版:

由Bedford開去Leighton Buzzard,沿途有高速公路,又有上山落斜(32:08穿過Woburn Safari Park重見到鹿添),畀到唔少kick-down同響迫力嘅機會,加埋12米長蘭行鄉間小路嘅反差,撇除之後發生嘅意外,呢條遊河線係plan得非常好。雖然車尾改咗背對背位有啲失望(尤其係前面有位動作多多嘅仁兄),但成部車無論係把聲(皮帶聲除外)定係陣味都同以前坐長蘭時嘅感覺一模一樣:
某啲路從未有雙層巴士行過,自有佢嘅原因,例如呢條Vandyke Road就係限闊2.0米(https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.9286569,-0.6444134,3a,75y,204.78h,87.57t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sA_MAGL7LTPdtYpzM30dykA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656),似乎plan路線嘅Nik Anthony睇漏眼。378轉入呢條路之後已經有幾個人喺路邊指指點點,一開始唔明點解,直到378去到呢個收窄位前急dup先明白。之後378原路倒後半英里返去十字路口調頭(https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.9339489,-0.6353896,3a,75y,64.83h,78.34t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sHsbdem6S-Z2RUv8s2wU4CQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656),一路上聽住佢後波都可以上到咁高轉,亦感受住利蘭車系褪車時零舍震撼嘅迫力聲(其實點解向前行時剎車未必會響,向後就一定有?)。終於褪到返去十字路口,但司機太早扭軚,結果左邊車尾就跌咗落坑:
雖然見得多Olympian劈彎時點側法,部車亦距離28度角好遠,但親眼見到個轆離地咁高總係好不安:

可以研究吓頭軸嘅懸掛系統結構 — 每邊由一條好厚嘅葉片彈弓做定位連桿、防傾桿兼擺臂,後面連住一條橫骨,橫骨上面裝氣袋同吸震筒,成組頭軸懸掛總共有兩個氣袋同四枝吸震筒:

右邊裙腳板應該係畀扯緊嘅纜索壓凹,亦見到尾轆由11R22.5呔換成12R22.5。部車行起上嚟份外平穩同舒服,全車車轆換晒厚呔可能係原因之一:

回程時因為尾轆輪拱有啲變形,行車時間中會磨到車呔,一路行一路有好大陣燒呔味,所以唔踩得太快,亦有時要停低畀條呔冷卻:
